Paris came home with me - will it go home with you, too?

As I mentioned in my previous blog, My Parisian Corner developed soon after my latest visit to Paris. My first goal was to launch the website for My Parisian Corner before Mother’s Day 2025, and I made that happen! Though Mother’s Day is usually a sad day for me because my mother lives so far away, starting the journey with My Parisian Corner helped me feel connected to my beautiful mom. I miss her and think of her every day!

While these past nine months have been the most exciting and challenging of my life, they have been equally joyful. Realizing my goals has been a dream come true, especially considering the fact that I didn't have to do it alone.

My biggest, number one supporter and life partner, Badi, has always been there to help, comfort, and protect me whenever I've needed it. He has been an integral part towards the success of this endeavor thus far, and I wouldn't have made it far without him. Dooset daram, azizam.

My best friend, Virginia Tehrani, is a beautiful human being and a fantastic lawyer who has been by my side this whole time. She introduced me to the most amazing people at the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce. I trust her deeply and heed her intuitive advise, the best being her guidance to join the Chambers. I joined PNA which has catapulted my ability to network, sponsor, volunteer for charities, donate gift boxes for fundraising opportunities and support a community I dearly love.

The amount of love and support from every one that I have received has been indescribable. I need not go far to get help with business development; everything I need is close by! I’m surrounded by like-minded business owners who support me without hesitation, such as sending referrals my way whenever the opportunity comes. The combination of their help coupled with my own motivation and hard work presented yet another great opportunity. Do you know what happened on January 9th, 2026? I do! The first store front for My Parisian Corner opened in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Sometimes I still think I’m dreaming (the occassional pinches on my arm and the never ending twinkle in my eyes tell me otherwise).

As I write to you, I am currently sitting in my store, watching the rain drizzle down the glass windows that showcase the treasures that lie inside, waiting for you to come and find something that will make you or someone special in your life very happy. Gifts from My Parisian Corner are 100% responsible for that special flutter in your heart, that extra bounce in your step, or that tingling in your chest - and you're welcome :)
